In Orgrimmar or Stormwind near the portals to Pandaria, there is the cutest little panda cub. It’s name is Luo Lou if you’re Horde and Meng Meng if you’re Alliance. This little guy is usually just sitting on the ground or laying down in the Pandaren camp. I found out that if you /love or /hug the cub (maybe even more emotes), it will give you a Magical Bamboo Shoot that will turn you into a cute little panda cub for 10 minutes. Unfortunately, it’s not a fast runner and I don’t think you can use any abilities in that form. At least you’ll be super adorable! So, get out there, and love some pandas!
I was going through a booster box of Betrayal of the Guardians, and I am happy to say that I found the Ghostly Charger!! My boyfriend opened the pack it was in and started freaking out, and that made me freak out. When he handed it to me, I was so excited that I screamed and probably scared the upstairs neighbors! I started scratching it off before I even got to the computer to redeem it. I love this mount!! It looks amazing and it’s the only Forsaken mount (low level riding mount without horns) that is available to the Alliance. It has a spectral appearance and has blue flames coming from it. I’m extremely happy with this mount, and I’m super happy to be one of the lucky people to finally get a mount! 😀
I have no explanation for this crazy place I found on the ridge connecting the Stonetalon Mountains to Mulgore. It’s like nothing I have ever seen in WoW before. When I found the place, I just stood there for a minute and stared at all the critters running around with weapons and armor and started cracking up. Rabbits were bullying the chipmunks, mice were shooting things, and it was complete craziness.
I just wanted to take the time to talk about Floaty, my Gusting Grimoire. Blizzard done an excellent job with this companion (or battle) pet. The little book just flutters around and looks adorable with its purple cover and gold corners. When it’s clicked on, it makes page-flipping noises. It rarely ever gets in my way either, which is a big plus. The only bad thing about it, is that it has trouble flying around with me. It stays hovering on the ground when I’m up in the air. You get this little guy from the “Floating Spellbook” card from the WoW TCG loot cards(I found mine in Betrayal of the Guardian set), and the pack was well worth my money. I love Floaty!
I’m pretty sure plenty of people have seen this little island off the coast of Theramore, but that doesn’t make it any less interesting! But, for those who haven’t been there before, it sure is something fun to explore! It used to be a human settlement before it was taken over by naga and used by Doctor Weavil for a base. It features a lighthouse, dock, broken tower, a jail, and a little camp. For such an ominous place
it has beautiful scenery. The rain foresty jungle is far from what the mainland looks like. There are level 60 elite dragons, hydras, and mobs everywhere, so higher level would make it easier exploring here. And I would not recommend fighting with Doctor Weavil unless you can stealth or have a ton of stuns. After about 10-15 seconds of fighting him, he stuns you and turns you into one of his minions for two minutes. There’s no way to get out of it that I’m aware of, and after the two minutes is up, he fights you and does it again, potentially leaving you stuck there until you get help. Fortunately for me, I had the King of the Jungle talent and could stealth during combat. If it wasn’t for that, I may have still been there.
The tower and jail are pretty spooky places. An Alliance banner hangs in tatters on the front of the half-toppled tower, and the jail down below is filled with skeletons and naga.
The jail here on the island is where King Varian Wrynn was brought after he was captured by the Defias. Most of the jail has since then flooded and naga wander the halls. Down in the lowest parts of the jail is where Varian cell is thought to be, and it’s protected by Tidelord Rrurgaz. Now there are nothing but bones left in the cell. It looks like a lot of them were sitting and talking before they died. Even some in the main halls look like that.
If you like places associated with lore, this is a nice place to come and look around. I’m sure I didn’t see everything there, so go and take a look and see what you can find! Just be careful not to wake the Doctor!
